Two different payment request emails with different order numbers were sent to an applicant. Which one should they pay?
The reason why two payment request emails were sent to the applicant is due to the specifications of the payment system. Until the payment is completed, multiple emails may be sent. This design ensures that applicants receive the payment request even in cases where an email fails to arrive.
Either order number can be used for payment. However, to prevent double payment, please instruct the applicant to choose one email and proceed with the payment using that order number.
How can we issue a refund for an applicant who was not accepted, given that SB Payment Service does not provide a reference number?
For credit card payments, applicants can download a receipt from their application details screen. However, at this time, university administrators cannot view payment amounts directly within TAO.
That said, you can still calculate the amount or confirm it via the SB Payment Service’s admin panel.
◼︎Calculate the amount by matching the examination fee, handling fee, and applicant’s payment method
On the relevant admission scheme screen, you should be able to check the examination fee and the handling fee (service fee). By matching this information with the payment method listed in the payment data CSV, you can calculate the total amount paid (examination fee + handling fee based on the payment method).
◼︎Check payment details in the SB Payment Service admin panel
You can confirm the payment details using the SB Payment Service’s admin interface. Enter the application ID into the “Product ID” field to retrieve the payment information related to that specific application.
Is it possible to set up a different bank account for application fee payments?
If you wish to change the currently registered bank account, please contact SB Payment Service directly to request the change.
If you would like to add a new bank account in addition to the existing one, a separate contract will be required, and additional fees will apply.
Please note that with Flywire, one of the payment methods available in TAO, it is possible to manage multiple bank accounts under a single contract. However, some payment methods available through SB Payment Service (such as convenience store payments) are not supported by Flywire.
If you are interested in integrating Flywire with TAO, please feel free to contact us.
